Rules and Regulations

At Holy Sapience School, we believe in fostering a disciplined and respectful environment where students can learn and grow. Below are the key rules that all students must follow:

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Students must attend school regularly and arrive on time.
  • Absences must be excused with a valid reason, supported by a note from a parent/guardian.
  • A minimum attendance rate of 70% is required throughout the academic year for promotion to the next class.
  • For extended leave due to health issues, a medical certificate must be submitted. Planned absences require a prior leave application approved by school authorities.
  • Late arrivals must report to the office before joining class.

Attendance and Punctuality

    • Students must wear the school uniform at all times.
    • Clothing should be clean, modest, and appropriate for school.
    • Personal appearance should be neat, avoiding items that may cause disruption (e.g., large accessories).

Classroom Behavior

Show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students by listening attentively and participating respectfully.
Raise your hand to speak or ask questions; avoid interrupting others.
Follow the teacher’s instructions and adhere to classroom rules for behavior and group activities.

Respect for Property​

Handle school property, including desks, books, and equipment, with care.
Avoid vandalism; any damage must be reported immediately.
Respect others’ belongings and do not use them without permission.

Electronic Devices

Personal devices, including mobile phones, are not allowed in school.

Hallway Conduct​

Move quietly and calmly through hallways; avoid running, shouting, or blocking pathways.
Show courtesy by holding doors open and allowing others to pass.

Language and Communication

Use respectful and appropriate language at all times. Offensive or hurtful language is not tolerated.
Bullying, teasing, or disrespectful behavior will result in disciplinary action.
English must be used as the primary mode of communication during school hours.
-Exceptions include language-specific classes, cultural events, and school-approved programs celebrating linguistic diversity.
-Non-compliance will first result in a warning. Repeated violations will incur a fine of ₹50 per incident.

Violations of school rules may result in:

Repeated offenses may involve counseling, a parent meeting, or further interventions.
All disciplinary actions aim to help students understand and correct their behavior.

Academic Integrity​

Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
Assignments and homework should be completed independently unless otherwise specified.
Consequences for dishonesty may include warnings, reduced marks, or more severe actions.

Disciplinary Actions

Treat everyone fairly, regardless of their background, culture, or beliefs.
Celebrate differences and encourage an inclusive school environment.
Harassment or discrimination of any kind is strictly unacceptable.
